Dara Savinova makes her Greek debut as Juno/Ino in Semele with George Petrou / Göttingen
Estonian mezzo Dara Savinova sings Juno & Ino in Handel’s Semele iat the Olympia Theatre in Athens. It is a production by the International Händel Festpiele Göttingen.
The City of Athens Symphony Orchestra & Athens Chamber Choir are conducted by George Petrou, who is also the stage director.
Dara Savinova is already an experienced international singer. She is a graduate of the Zurich Opera Studio, and has gone on to sing on stages such as the Bregenzer Festspiele, Theatre Champs Elysées, Zurich Opera and Royal Swedish Opera. She returns to Stockholm’s opera house in the new year as Rosina in Rossini’s evergreen Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
