Erik Rousi makes his Wuppertal debut as König Marke in Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde

Bass Erik Rousi makes his debut for Oper Wuppertal on the 22nd October 2023. He sings the role of König Marke in Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde.

The stage director is Edison Vigil, and the conductor is Patrick Hahn.

Erik is this season an ensemble member at Wuppertaler Bühnen, having spent the last two years at Theater Osnabrück. Later this season he goes on to sing Sir John Falstaff in Nicolai’s Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor, and Peter in Smyth’s Der Wald.

Erik is a regular Wagner singer, and most recently sang Hunding in Wagner’s Die Walküre in concert with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra in Riga.
