Faustine De Monès sings The Bride in Saariaho’s Innocence at Adelaide Festival

Soprano Faustine De Monès appears at the Adelaide Festival this evening, singing The Bride (Stela) in Kaija Saariaho's final opera Innocence.

Faustine has become a regular interpreter of Saariaho's works in recent years, often at the request of the late composer.

The stage director is Simon Stone and the conductor is Clément Mao-Takacs. Original Finnish libretto by Sofi Oksanen & multilingual libretto by Aleksi Barrière.
