Mikael Horned sings Antenor in Rameau’s Dardanus for Confidencen Opera & Music Festival

Baritone Mikael Horned sings the role of Antenor in Rameau’s Dardanus this Summer for Confidencen Opera & Music Festival in Stockholm.

This year’s festival is the first to feature Peter Spissky as Musical Director, and Dardanus is stage directed by Gilbert Blin.

It is the first time that Rameau's masterpiece is performed in the Nordic countries. The opera was written in 1744 and became his most performed and successful during his lifetime.

Mikael Horned is part of a new generation of young Swedish opera singers rapidly rising to the top at the moment. He made his Royal Swedish Opera full role debut in 2021 as Antonio in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, and last Winter he sang Schaunard in Puccini’s La Boheme there.

Performances run from 27th July until 20th August. Read more on the Confidencen’s website: https://confidencen.se/confidencen-opera-music-festival-2023/
