Per Bach Nissen sings in the World-premiere of Alma Deutscher’s Des Kaisers neue Walzer in Salzburg
Danish bass Per Bach Nissen sings the role of Rudolf Kaiser in the World Premiere of “wunderkind” Alma Deutscher’s new opera, Des Kaisers neue Walzer at the Salzburg Landestheater on the 4th March 2023.
The production in directed by Christina Piegger and the conductor is Katharina Wincor.

Alma Deutscher (born 2005) has received recognition from major artists including Anne-Sophie Mutter, Sir Simon Rattle and Zubin Mehta. 2021 marked the premiere of the Salzburg version of her opera “Cinderella” at the Salzburg Landestheater. She has made waves as a pianist and has, for instance, performed at the Wiener Musikverein and the Carnegie Hall in New York.
